How many times do we say, "I knew I should have gone with my first thought?" And we always regret not doing so. But why didn't we?

as I already explained, it's ego. Our ego, conscious mind, gets involved in that subtle message we get known as a gut feeling, analyzes it and thinks, no, that's not what I need to do. Again let me just say, you're wrong! Our gut feeling is our intuition. It's how all living things survives and functions without any of the pitfalls we thinking beings suffer. If will power worked we would all be what we want to be... but we're not.
